We got our Safety First magnetic child locks and finally got them installed. I think I'll be growing some new blisters by tomorrow morning.
You really don't realize how dangerously you live until you're trying to child-proof your home. How do any of us survive?!
These are awesome magnetic ones that have an on/off button so when we do not have a placement, or an older placement we do not have to uninstall, reinstall locks. We also can keep something locked for older placements that would have other baby proofing locks figured out. These are perfect for fostering.
We still need to hang drapes, change out a few decorations, file the MASSIVE amount of music we have in our en-route filing cabinet, among many other things.
We also got a text from our case worker to confirm our first home study interview. AH!
This process is like a roller coaster ride. It's a slow start where you think you know everything that is coming your way. Then, all of a sudden, you're flung to the edge of your seat, laughing and screaming all at once. Pure joy, nervous excitement, and terror all rolled into one.
Please be thinking/praying/sending good vibes to us over the next couple weeks. Although it is looking to be a crazy month, we want to make sure we are absorbing and fully experiencing all these feelings and emotions, as well as retaining all the information and training we will soon receive.
